Got the need for speed? Five & Dime offers serious coaching and friendly competition in a very social atmosphere.

This group-coached training program emphasizes speed, strength, and conditioning through track workouts, running drills, tempo training, and hill runs.

Program Details

10-Week Sessions:
January, March, August, October
Annual Membership is available for January enrollment only.

Tuesday, January 13, 2026 – Thursday, March 19, 2026

Upcoming Session:
Tuesday, March 24, 2026 – Thursday, May 28, 2026

Schedule:

  • Tuesdays: Track workouts
  • Thursdays: Hill and tempo runs
  • Time: 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM

Location:
Glenridge Middle School Track

Prerequisite:
Solid running base of 12–15 miles/week.
A One Mile Time Trial is held the first evening of each session at the Glenridge track to divide runners into pace groups. Each pace group has a coach to guide training.

Coach & Pace (min/mile)
Nathan Adams – 6:15 and faster
Dave Dickinson – 6:15 - 8:00
Wayne Talbott – 8:00+

Fee:
New Members: $90
Alumni: $75 (must have participated within the last 2 years)
Annual Membership: $260 (Jan–Dec, Alumni Only)

Program Policies

Training programs run in the rain! Coaches are present for every workout and workouts are only cancelled if lightning is present in the area at that time.

The training fee is non-refundable.

For safety reasons, baby carries, joggers/strollers, bicycles, rollers skates, in-line skates, and dogs will be prohibited from the training sessions.

Practices are not open to children or strollers to ensure the safety of all runners.

This program is designed for participants over 18, however, our Cheetahs Running Club is for children aged 8-14.
